 SUSAN'S MUSINGS

As I type July I am beyond dumb struck that is already July. Wasn’t it just Spring and now it is well into summer?! We just got our boat in last week and they are saying that the way the lake is dropping we could have to take it out by next week. What a crazy summer this will be if we don’t our boat in. Fortunately several of our friends have pontoon boats or deep enough mooring that they will be able to let us tag along.

Seems one week I look at the calendar and think there isn’t much going on and then before I know it the days are filling up. Lots of events going on around the valley and in town. Can tell by the traffic that is a different season from December. Lots of visitors in from across the country and a few from overseas, it is always fun to talk with people about their journey to reach our area. So many folks who were from this area or have family from here come back to check it out. Seems if you have roots from this area they always pull you back. I know I can’t imagine living anywhere else other than this western corridor of Montana. My time living in other places was full of great experiences and many new friends but my heart is here.

Traveling has never been a bit part of our lives but are in the early stages of planning a cruise next summer for our 50th anniversary. Ireland and Scotland have always been high on my bucket list. I have some Scottish blood in my lineage and pat has Irish so we are heading there to see the Homeland.

Never been on a cruise, only been across the big pond twice so it will be an adventure. The idea of a cruise where you unpack once and stay in the same bed for 12 nights sounds much better then schlepping bags in and out every day or so.

This is short because it is too hot to stay back in my office any longer.
Stop in and see us. Have a safe 4th and remember our furry friends that don’t like fireworks.

Enjoy!
