MAY, 2023

Interested in some part-time work? We are looking for another store assistant! Please see us in store or call with any questions!

Our Viktra has left us... :(  We are sure happy for her and Chris and their family, but her All in Stitches family will definitely miss her. If you find that you are in need of comforting, come to AIS for some group sewing and crafting therapy!

We hope all of our local people are enjoying the weird Montana weather! April has sure reinforced our saying: "If you don't like the current MT weather, just wait 5 minutes."  But as the weather warms, we hope to continue to see our local customers as well as meeting new customers. The summer is an important time for many Polson businesses and AIS is no exception! We look forward to our community events (i.e. our Polson Farmer's Market every Friday, local trade shows and vendors, quilt shows, Ladies Nights, etc.) and we will continue to spread the word about these events on our social media pages and our website.

If you are enjoying the sunshine and the lake, remember that our website (allinstitchesmt.com) is always an option so you don't have to leave your "fun in the sun time" to get your project needs. But if you are out and about, please come and visit our physical store! And if you are a member of a guild or attending a retreat, please let us at AIS know so you can receive our store specials!

Remember to tune in on Saturdays at 9:00am to "Sew What's the Stitch, Susan?" This is a weekly Facebook Live Video Show that gives updates and highlights for All in Stitches. And...the host is pretty fantastic and her puppy is a real cutie! ;) You can watch it on our Facebook page and on our Youtube Channel

Congratulations to our drawing winner! ($20 store gift cert.)
April winner: Marcia Howard

 SUSAN'S MUSINGS

What a day! Blue skies and sunshine! We are all so ready for Spring.
How many of you like to see yourself on a Facebook video or hear your recorded voice? I wrote this on Saturday so
we did another "Sew What’s the Stitch?" video. I can’t bring myself to watch the whole thing. It is just too
strange to see and hear myself. I become too aware of all the quirky little actions and movements that I
have. My hair doesn’t look right, my eye makeup is too heavy, I talk with my hands too much, etc. etc..
I’ve never been a person that is super conscious about my appearance or voice but seeing myself on
Facebook sure has changed that! I think that is why I like having Poppy in the video with me to take the
attention away from me. I do, however, appreciate the folks that are checking in and following the
videos. A big thank you to all of you!
Had a birthday this week and am reminded of the importance of celebrating that special day. Pat and I
had a great day together going to Bigfork, Echo Lake Café, dropping off a quilt with Monique at
Ladybug’s Cabin, the usual Costco excursion and dinner with a friend in Kalispell. Lots of birthday wishes
on Facebook and calls from family and friends. All of this made me think about the birthdays of folks that I don’t
reach out to honor. We all need to know that we are remembered. This life that we are walking through
isn’t always a picnic or walk in the park. There are struggles and valleys that we all go through and it is
the support of those around us that offer an encouraging word or action that see us through. We never
know what a kind word or gesture might mean to someone. Do you know someone that needs a friendly
word today? Make the effort and reach out. In this world that is so rapidly getting away from person to
person contact, give a real call or a hand written note, not a just quick text message. Maybe even invite
to join you for coffee or a meal and put your phone or ipad away and engage in honest old face to face
conversation.
Thanks for spending these minutes with me through this medium but always remember we love to have
you drop by the store and see us. It doesn’t have to be to shop, just stop in and say "Hi!"
Build someone up. Pay them a compliment. Remind them they’re amazing. It costs you nothing
but means everything.
